I’ve been toying with the idea of starting writing again for a while now.
I had blogs in the past but I haven’t been writing much in the past couple of years.
Part of that was because I was busy completing a MSc in Psychology, and another part has been because I’ve been quite unwell.
When you are chronically ill, you have to make a thousand decisions as to what to put out into the public sphere. By putting your struggles out there, you might find love and support. Posts on social media become the easiest way to update caring friends and family as to how you are.
On the other hand, a lot of people don’t understand why you aren’t getting better. You might be seen as attention grabbing, or constantly complaining. You might also worry about employers, or perspective employers, finding out you have health issues.
I have decided to finally embrace my love of writing and to simply share what I am going through.
This will be more in depth than some Facebook posts, and so I do this with no small amount of trepidation.
In the coming days, I hope to add more posts with a bit more of my history, and what is going on in my life right now.
